Compare Valeria Sea Dice and Valeria Red & Blue Dice side by side. Find out which extra dice set fits your group's theme and play style.
Quick answer
If you prefer a unified look for the Crimson Seas expansion, go with the Sea Dice set. For a bold two-color scheme that matches Flames & Frost, pick the Red & Blue Dice set.
Color and theme differences
The Sea Dice set is a pair of opaque marbled green dice, designed to match the Crimson Seas expansion. The Red & Blue Dice set gives you one marbled red and one marbled blue die, tying directly to the Flames & Frost expansion. Your choice really comes down to which expansion's aesthetic you want to emphasize at the table.
Both sets are collectible extras — you don't need them to play Valeria: Card Kingdoms or any expansion. They exist because many players wanted their own dice so each person in a group could roll at the same time.
Size and feel
Every die in both sets is a massive 20mm x 20mm x 20mm chunky cube with white numerals. That means the rolling experience is identical — large, easy to read, and satisfyingly heavy. The only physical difference is the color pattern.
If you already own one set and are thinking about adding the other, know that the dice are the same size and shape, so they mix freely in a dice tray.
Trade-offs to consider
- Theme matching: Sea Dice matches Crimson Seas; Red & Blue Dice matches Flames & Frost. If you play both expansions equally, the mixed set might feel more versatile.
- Color variety at the table: Red & Blue Dice gives two distinct colors, making it easier to tell whose die is whose in a group. Sea Dice offers two identical green dice, so you'll need to mark or remember which is yours. If table confusion is a concern, the two-color set is the simpler solution.
- Collectibility: Both are limited-run collectibles at similar prices. Neither is required for gameplay, so pick the one that matches your favorite expansion's art style.
